Diane Hettwer has worked in the financial markets her entire career, which spans nearly two decades. Several of those years have been in the investor relations consulting field. Diane understands the capital markets, having been an institutional trader, retail broker and corporate investment/treasury analyst in addition to her experience as an IR counselor.

As an investor relations consultant, she has helped clients raise their visibility within the institutional investment community and strategically counseled them on a multitude of issues that impacted their valuation. She has created email messaging programs, developed fact sheets, presentations, sponsored conference calls, redesigned web sites, arranged many investor meeting days on a national and international level, contacted media and maintained investor data bases. Her experience spans a variety of industries including financial services, technology, capital equipment, healthcare and consumer products.

Diane began her career as a Eurodollar dealer with Sanwa Bank. She was there for more than five years during which time she managed a daily cash position of $1-4 billion, handled short-term cash-flow forecasting and trading from both a hedge and speculative capacity. She wrote a weekly market commentary concerning trading strategy and a daily and weekly analyzing political and economic data.

After that she moved into the brokerage business where she became a top sales producer, earning a Sales Representative of the Year award, generating more than $40 million in new retail business, initiating a direct marketing campaign, and cross-selling other company services.

She began her counseling career with Financial Relations Board, which over the past 40 years has been a major factor training a large portion of today’s IR consultants. At FRB, she focused on identifying institutional investors for small and micro-cap companies and communicating their respective stories to the investment community. She successfully identified and secured buy and sell-side interest for a multitude of companies. She also counseled companies through the IPO process and strategized with mature companies to develop innovative ideas to identify new investors.

After FRB, Diane joined Ilios Partners where she focused her counseling on publicly held technology clients, including Yahoo! and Seagate Technologies.

Diane holds an undergraduate degree in Finance and a masters degree in Marketing and Communications from DePaul University in Chicago.
